To comply with the law it is the responsibility of the landlord to make sure that their property is safe and fit for people to live in. It is a legal requirement that a Landlord Gas Safety Certificate (LGSC) must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer in order to determine that all gas appliances and fittings in the property are safe and will not pose a risk to the occupants.

Gas Safe engineers will provide you with a Landlord Gas Safety Certificate (LGSC) which will be valid for 12 months from the date of the inspection. An engineer will visit the premises to check all gas appliances and fittings, looking for any signs of disrepair or potential risk to occupants. If any appliance is found to be unsafe or not functioning properly, the engineer will make recommendations in the certificate regarding any necessary repairs or replacement.
